Grain legumes are an important component of a domestically produced and GMO-free feed. The excursion "production and feeding of grain legumes", organized by two Legumes Translated partners and originally planned for May 2020, has been postponed.
Legumes Translated Partners Centre for Agricultural Technology Augustenberg (LTZ) and Schwäbisch Hall Producers Community (BESH) will be organising an excursion as part of the the German Pea and Bean Network and the Legumes Translated project to exchange information on the cultivation and feeding of grain legumes.
The new date will be communicated on this Website.
In the morning, there will be a tour of the Raiffeisen concentrated feed plant in Kehl in the South of Germany.
After lunch, a field visit fo the Körkel demonstration farm will take place.
The farm manager will share his experience of growing grain peas with internal recycling. In the field, winter and summer peas are mixed with barley.
