The German Lupin Network

The German Lupin Network (Demonstration network for cultivation and utilisation of lupin)  brings together best practice farmers from all over the country that have many years of experience in lupin cultivation, state research centres, advice centres, breeders, processors and trading companies. The main objectives of the network are to support the growth of lupin cultivation, the development of relevant value chains and knowledge transfer between research institutions, extension services, breeders, processors and farmers. The German Lupin Network is funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Germany and was launched in 2015.

The network is managed by the State Research Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.  Here the agronomic and economic data of the partner farms are collected, analysed and made available to the network partners.
